Artist's Description

I just took a deep breath and ordered a new Sony Mirrorless. I have been shooting Canon 5Ds now for a decade so this is a major change for me. I got up around 4AM last Sunday. A quick look outside told me there was no sense in rushing out for astro photography because of the clouds. A cup and a half of coffee later, I decided I had to go brave the 12 degree Connecticut Morning. Since I had not really shot much with the new camera, I decided to take it along. At 42 Megapixels and a promise of 15 stops of dynamic range, I want to test out the low light capabilities. A quick drive down to the river from my home and I was out in the cold looking for angles. This image is actually one of the last shots of the morning. I have a few others posted from that day in my port. When I composed this shot, I had Black and White in mind from the beginning. I hope you enjoy it. Please feel free to comment or give feedback. Thanks for looking!
