In the summer of 2017, my youngest daughter and I were making our way from Grand Junction CO where we had been shooting Colorado National Monument for a few days to Moab to hit Arches and Canyonlands. We stopped at the Utah welcome center to confirm the location of the Sego Canyon petroglyphs and were told that we would have to pass through a semi-ghost town. Neither one of us had ever shot anything like that before so we were happy to explore. We shot several old buildings around the center of town while we waited for a train in the distance to pass through. As we made our way out to the Petroglyphs, we never noticed this house. Fast forward to 2019. We were back in the area and made a point of going back to the town to do another round of exploring. This time, we found it. I used my Sony A7RIII to get this image handheld, which was no problem in the bright sun. I also took a few film shots on an old Olympus OM-1 using Ilford film.
