Artist's Description
It was our first morning in Colorado for our 2019 summer vacation. My wife and I got up early. The kids are now older teenagers and are able to be left alone at the hotel. We were in Garden of the Gods, a city park in Colorado Springs very early. During that brief time when the light was good and before a lot of people started pouring into this beautiful place we were able to get a dozen or so good shots. This shot is one of the large sandstone monoliths that stand at the entrance to the park.
